Don’t have a turkey cookie-cutter? That’s okay, use your hand along with your favorite sugar cookie recipe to make these fun turkey cookies. Have everyone in the family ‘lend a hand’ to make different sized ‘turkeys’ — how fun!

What you’ll need:
Sugar cookie recipe/mix/dough (whatever you usually use when you make sugar cookies)
Flour
Knife
Icing + food coloring
Sprinkles, sugars, candies – whatever you’d like to decorate with

Directions:
Prepare sugar cookies like normal. Allow to chill in the refrigerator until stiff enough to roll and cut. Once chilled, roll out on floured surface about 1/4 inch thick. Place your hand the dough and cut through dough as if you were tracing your hand. Try doing it with both hands, as to give turkeys facing different directions. Once cut, carefully place on cookie sheet and bake according to instructions. Allow to cool on wire wrack and then decorate using different colored icings and sprinkles. You can also use different candies to make the eyes, ‘gobbler’, and feet. Be creative and have fun!!
