How long have you been striving to make things happen because you think they are suppose to be happening? For so many of us, especially with a New Year around the corner, we make plans and work so hard to do what we’ve been wanting to do for so long. Maybe it is centered around how we think we have failed? Or maybe it is centered around how we think we haven’t maintained the things we felt we should? Striving to make things be as you feel they should be is an easy way to fall back into the habit of works, rather than the spirit of faith.

I have found, and am still learning, that all things come by the humility of following the Spirit. That we as individuals are unique in who we are and what makes us just is conforming through faith in embracing the word of God. Faith is His way of doing things. Moving forward and not trying so hard, removing the challenge of doing and embracing the peace of believing, is the God kind of life.

The enemy’s plan and opposition is always against the word. He is in opposition to faith. He opposes what God has spoken. Yet, the word has already been proven. The doctrine and teachings of Jesus declared the sower went out and sowed the word. He said,

“And these are they by the way side, where the word is sown; but when they have heard, Satan cometh immediately, and taketh away the word that was sown in their hearts.” Mark 4:15

“Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God” Romans 10:17

Faith is NOW. Faith is a higher law than our striving or our time. Faith is a force. Faith is the tool in your life to subdue, dominate, and elevate. As the clock moves forward, faith is not bound by its seconds. It is not bound by today or tomorrow. Faith is not even bound by yesterday, by experience, or by works. Faith is never defined by knowledge, it is authored by wisdom. There is no strife in faith and when the Bible tells us that we “fight the good fight of faith”, we find it is faith that has defeated the enemy who opposes. It’s how we live, it’s how we move, it’s how we have our being. “The just shall live by faith”! The just are those who are wholly conformed to the will of God. This means to completely embrace His word as truth and declare His word is the judicial rule and the just dominating Truth in all things.

As you move forward into the New Year, apprehend 2018 with the spirit of faith. Make your first step to move forward by faith. Those words sound so simple, but the action and works of faith are empowering. They require you to cast your cares upon Him and not strive in what you do, but believe. When you simply listen and follow, embrace the word, you will find that releasing your faith is based on what the Creator of this universe has said. Stand up in your victory! It’s the devil’s plan to get you to come down to his level through accomplishing things by striving in your own strength. God has told us that it is,

“Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit, saith the Lord of hosts.” Zechariah 4:6
You find His might, His power, and His Spirit in His words, His teachings, His doctrine, His way of doing things. Know it is as He says,

“And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.” Mark 11:22

The God kind of faith lives in you, so start talking His talk and walking His walk as you move forward into 2018.
